Guide to Participate in the Darwinia PLO
We have structured a generous benefits package for our crowdloan contributors and sincerely hope you will consider loaning us your DOTs so that we can be successful in our bid for a parachain slot!
There are three methods that you can contribute to Darwinia crowdloan:
- Darwinia PLO page ;
- Crowdloan Module on Polkadot{.js};
- Third parties, such as exchanges.
This article will show the contribution process on Darwinia PLO page. Specific details will be announced if other methods of participation open up. So stay tuned for follow-up posts.
Darwinia Crowdloan step-by-step Instructions
1. Create a polkadot{.js} account (skip this step if you have one already)
If you don’t have an account in polkadot{.js}, create one to continue (Please jump to step 3 if you already have one). Download Polkadot{.js} for Chrome or Firefox and add it to your browser.
After the download completes, create a new account. Please store your password and mnemonic seed safely. Do not screenshot and share with others!
You can also import an account from pre-existing seed.
2. Transfer DOT to your polkadot{.js} wallet
Make sure you have enough DOT in your wallet to make contributions. If not, transfer some DOT to your wallet account. Make sure your account is on polkadot relay chain.
3. Connect to the Darwinia PLO page
Log into the Darwinia PLO page and connect your wallet.
4. Contribute DOT
Enter your contribution amount or use the MAX button. Please be noted that the Maximum contribution amount is less than your DOT balance because some DOT will be left for gas fee. Account password is needed to sign the contribution transaction.
- To prevent your account balance was cleared, please make sure that your account balance is greater than 1 DOT after contributing.
Bonus: This bonus comes from the Early Bird Program, and it will be delivered to the supporters who contributed only before the start of Polkadot’s Batch 2 auction (December 23, 2021).
5. Invite others to win more rewards
Whether you contribute or not, you can copy your referral link to invite people to participate and win more RING&KTON rewards.
6. Check your contribution details and rewards
All of your contribution details, including your referral history, shows up through the Darwinia PLO page. Take a look there!
The reward amount will change in real-time according to the progress of the crowdloan, and the final result shall prevail. Click here and check specific reward rules.
