Glitch and Darwinia form a strategic partnership to extend the utility of native assets

Darwinia and Glitch are excited to jointly announce that Glitch will be partnering with layer-0 metaprotocol Darwinia, a Parachain candidate for Polkadot and bridge for heterogeneous blockchain networks, to bring their interoperable cross-chain bridge technology to the GLITCH protocol.

Given the scope of what Glitch Finance hopes to achieve, one of their primary design goals is to ensure the Glitch ecosystem has maximum utility from the start, and Darwinia is a perfect match.

Darwinia Network is a decentralized cross-chain bridge network built on Substrate that supports blockchain interoperability. We provide one of the most reliable general bridge solutions currently on the market, enabling transparent interoperability between Polkadot, Kusama, Ethereum, and other well-known chains, adding further optionality for GLCH holders. This means that, in addition to the XBRIDGE, GLITCH users will have more options for how and where to use their assets across a variety of blockchain ecosystems.

The GLITCH protocol will also benefit through single-chain application upgrades, such as cross-chain NFT marketplaces, automatic cross-chain DEX transactions, and NFT + DeFi gaming, primarily among them. Glitch will also help enable the same assets on different blockchains to have a single ID, protecting against value loss when an asset is sent across blockchains. But this is just the starting point.

Additionally, Darwinia’s use of on-chain super light clients will make it possible on Glitch to verify any cross-chain message, not just tokens. And to do so in a way that’s completely decentralized and has no asset custody center.

The team behind us has been the recipient of several Web3 Foundation grants and has built a sterling reputation on our way to developing a market-leading cross-chain bridge protocol. we are mentioned in the Polkadot light paper as a friend of Polkadot, and we’re excited that this list of connections will now include Glitch.

“We’re excited to partner with Darwinia, one of the most well-known Polkadot parachain candidates, and we’re confident that Darwinia will allow the GLITCH protocol to expand its use cases and interoperability across the most prominent blockchain networks.” — Sean Ryan, CEO Glitch Finance

“We are exctied to partner with Glitch, we hope to build a bridge hub so that assets can flow freely between any chain without having to trust any middleman ” — Alex Chien, co-founder of Darwinia Network

About Darwinia

Darwinia Network is a decentralized cross-chain bridge network built on Substrate; the “Golden Gate Bridge” of cross-chain ecosystems. They provide the safest general bridge solution, enabling transparent interoperability between Polkadot, Ethereum, BSC, and other chains; and their revolutionary super-light client supports cross-chain asset and liquidity transfer exclusively by remote chain call without the need to wrap tokens. The primary applications for Darwinia bridge technology are in the realm of DeFi, cross-chain NFT marketplaces, and gaming.

About Glitch

GLITCH is a blockchain-agnostic super protocol explicitly designed for trustless money markets and decentralized financial applications (dApps). Glitch solves the expensive fee structure of other blockchain platforms while simultaneously rewarding all ecosystem participants and guaranteeing low network fees. Glitch plans to incorporate token wrapping bridges, where dApps can run more efficiently, all in service of Glitch’s ultimate goal: to become a cornerstone of blockchain infrastructure.
